Djemaa el-Fna (Djemaa el-Fna or the Djemaa el-Fna) is the celebrated square plaza located in the district of Medina. The appearance of the square changes throughout the day: in the morning and afternoon is home to a vast open-air market, with stalls selling various goods (from the fabrics to the dates, the orange juice, the ostrich eggs etc. ) and “professionals” dedicated to the most varied activities: decorations with henna, the tooth-puller, musicians, snake charmers etc.

Towards evening the stalls retire and take over banquet tables and benches to eat freshly prepared food and later arrive musicians and storytellers.

Only a few of these activities are directed at tourists (mostly snake charmers, acrobats and water vendors): the square is very experienced primarily by Moroccans themselves while selling souvenirs for tourists are lined up along the north side , where they begin the souks (covered markets, more and more use of Moroccans and tourists).
